Hi

Blog just started. I got three videos of cats listening to music ready to go, I just need to add them. Why cats? I don't know. Cats seem reflexive around music. They seem to respond, participate, ignore. They go back and forth. They perk up, get bored. Their movements often seem to correspond to the beats, lyrics or rhythms of music and then suddenly drop off --- or it could all be a coincidence.

Either way, cats are very fun to watch listening to music. Also of note is the way environment affects cats concerning how they perceive music: my cat Simon, a skinny black male, loves talk radio in the car on the way to the vet, but abhors rock music; conversely, as you will soon see, he doesn't mind punk music when giving himself a bath on the bed.

I highly suggest you do the same and record your cat or cats on video, send it to me, and I'll put it on the ol' blog. It's really easy to do with a mac --- just play the music and use Photo Booth to record the video. It makes an annoying little noise when recording, but I don't mind. It adds a little charm to the whole scenario.

It'll be fun, and you can show off your cat, your musical tastes, and/or your cat-music compatibility matches.

So yes, "Cats Listening to Music."
